Carved and Sandblasted Signs

Sandblasting is achieved by marking off areas of a material such as wood or high density urethane which will be removed. The areas not touched are letters and graphics of the sign in 3-D format. The letters and graphics are then painted and sealed, thus creating a long lasting, creative and attractive sign

What is the Difference Between Carved and Sandblasted Signs?

  • Carved Signs – Carved signs start with a piece of colored wood or HDU (high density urethane) that are used for the base. Then, your name, logo and/or message is carved into the material.
  • Sandblasted Signs – A sandblasted sign is three-dimensional in feel and appearance. The words and logo stand out from the base material. These make a big impact. While both sign types are attractive, you’ll want to look at some examples to discover which fits your style best. It is possible to create some amazing looks and build your brand using both carved and sandblasted signs.
